So with the damp chilly Saturday…dawned a humid, partly sunny Sunday, with the threat of showers and storms. I guess we’ll never be able to figure it out. But even with the uncertain weather, the customers were in to get their pansies, gerbera daisies and assorted spring flowers. A small selection of Easter flowers have started to come in, with many more to come…of that you can be certain. The next two weeks are sure to be filled with creating beautiful Easter baskets and grave logs filled with the wonderful sights and scents of spring.

The peas have popped through the ground, promising yet more work for the farmer as he prepares for the next planting. The new strawberry patch will soon be planted, bringing us the wonderful, sweet flavor of fresh picked berries next spring…we can hardly wait. Local berries will soon be coming…watch for details. The asparagus is beginning to pop through, so watch for the banners and the newsletter to keep you informed.

New flowers are here…cineraria, dianthus, osteospernum, and mimulus have joined the pansies and primroses. Beautiful planters and hanging baskets are here and ready to make your home burst with the colors of spring.
