Well even with the chill in the air, it’s so obvious that spring has arrived. People seem happier, with a spring in their step, no pun intended. The nights are a  bit chilly, but each day, the sun seems just a bit warmer than the one before. The farmer was busy again this week, planting additional cabbages and putting in over a hundred pounds of potatoes. He is so anxious to be in the fields, it’s hard to hold him back.

The market was busy this week also, with everyone ready to put some color into their flowerbeds. Pansies are only $12.99 a flat! That’s a savings of $7.00 compared to other places, so remember, shop here first! We always try to give you the best possible prices. Easter flowers will begin arriving soon. Tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, hydrangeas, azaleas and more will add beautiful color and wonderful scents to your homes.

Strawberries are wonderfully sweet and juicy and are available now. We tilled the asparagus this week, and we saw some shoots, so it won’t be long before fresh asparagus is available. I’ll keep you posted!

Reppert’s candy and other Easter favorites are available now, so don’t miss out. Delicious baked goods arrive on Fridays, so keep us in mind for dessert!
