Well, we got a pleasant Sunday out of the week, and what perfect timing to honor dads everywhere. We hope you all enjoyed this day and were able to spend it with someone special.

The weather has been anything but special, how much can it really rain? I would think the clouds are empty by now. We were able to get our 5 acres of pumpkins in on Wednesday before the rain began again…this much to the relief of the farmer, who is making our life miserable, not that we can make the sun shine…

As noted in last week’s newsletter, Rhubarb has come to an end.  Asparagus and strawberries are closing in on their end as well, get them before they’re gone…Spinach has seen the last for the spring, but holds promise for a hardy return in the fall.

Cucumber, string beans, zucchini, squash, peas, cabbage and lettuce is in full swing. Red Beets, onions and turnips are also making a good show for the spring. All these and more await you on your next visit…and of course the ever present question…”when will your corn be in?”…well we are still hoping for the 4^th of July, but we will have to wait and see, as the weather has been anything but accommodating.
