So if you got the chance to be outside this weekend, doing yard work, relaxing, or simply walking the dog, it was surely a warm one. With the corn fields about 15 degrees warmer, it was definitely a hot day picking. But pick we did, all day both days, as the customers came once again for the best corn in the area. We sure hope you got to enjoy some of our home grown goodness this weekend, cause we picked all weekend long, so you could enjoy it on your dinner table!

Sweet corn was again the favorite pick, followed closely by tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, cabbage, peppers, string beans and red beets. Cantaloupe and watermelons were favorites for dessert, along with local grown peaches, nectarines and plums. Candy sweets plums have ended their sweet run, but have been followed by Santa Rosa and Yellow Shiro plums, not as sweet but so very tasty…get some today.

The countdown has begun for our 6^th annual Fall Fest…to be held the weekend of October 10^th…only 11 weeks…it will be here before you know it…

But while the summer heat remains, so does the sweet taste of summer, found only in the freshest picks of the season…so remember…
