December 30, 2009

We here I am once again at the end of another season. It seems like we were just reopening for the beginning of 2009, and we are fast approaching 2010. It always amazes me how fast the year goes, when it only seems like yesterday, we were buying our seeds to begin the planting in the spring.

I would like to extend our deepest thanks for your continued support of our family owned business. Family, what that word means to all of us, took on extra special meaning this year, as we were faced with the sickness of our youngest son. We definately can appreciate life  a lot more, when faced with the chance of losing a child. After my last e-mail, after announcing how he had come home for the Thanksgiving holiday, that very evening we returned to the Phoenixville hospital. Once again we were faced with sickness, as his lung had collapsed , wrought with the Pneumonia and Swine flu, it could not remain intact. After a week with a tube keeping it inflated, it re-collapsed. Then on Monday the 7th of December, he underwent surgery. After 3 more days in ICU, he was moved to the 4th floor. This hospital stay was for 14 days, combined with 17 the first time, for a total of 31 days. Needless to say, he was thrilled when he was released on the 12th to come home. We are very grateful for all your well wishes and prayers, and ask that you continue to keep him there, as he continues to recover at home. This holiday season has had extra special meaning, as we were given the gift of our son’s life again, and we are very grateful.

Our season comes to an end tomorrow the 31st, and as we reflect on the year, we are thankful for our customers, their support and continued patronage. May you find happiness, peace, but most importantly health for you and your families as we enter this new year. We look forward to seeing you all in 2010. Our reopening date is March 13th, and I will be in touch over the upcoming months…may you find happiness in the faces of your family…God Bless!
