Get the kids to bed early…school starts tomorrow…well at least for a lot of local districts it does.  Hard to believe, but the summer is already behind us.

But that doesn’t mean the end to fresh fruits and vegetables…sweet corn is still available and sweet as ever. It’s the peak week for peaches, still sweet and juicy, get them before they’re gone. Saturn peaches are on their last run and will soon be gone for another season. So wonderful while they lasted though.  Local plums will soon be done also, and should be enjoyed while you can.

Tomatoes will soon be slowing production with the increase of cooler nights, so if you are interested in canning…now is the time.

Potatoes, eggplant and green peppers are still plentiful and should grace your dinner table as often as possible before they are finished for the season.

We recently started a new patch of cantaloupe, the last one for the year, so stop in and get one before the end!

Stop in to get the best selection of our fall candy and sprinkles…back to school means cupcakes for birthday parties and after school snacks…why not get the kids in the holiday spirit!

Fall decorations are on display now…scarecrows and outdoor decorations will follow this week. Hardy fall mums are in and ready to replace  summer annuals with beautiful fall color…enjoy color all season long…pumpkins and gourds will soon follow.
